SOHO: LASCO/C2
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-03-28T15:24:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: N06E80
Active Region Number: 14046
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This event is visible to the east/northeast in SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2 imagery. This CME is still developing and only early imagery is available as a result. The source is related to an eruption and X1.1 flare from Active Region 14046 starting around 2025-03-28T15:00Z as seen in SDO AIA 131, 171, 193, 304 imagery. A subsequent wide opening of field lines can be observed in SDO AIA 171 and 193 imagery at this time as well.

SHOCK measurement based on approximate source location and best fit between SOHO LASCO C2 and STEREO A COR2. This measurement contains a high degree of uncertainty due to the lack of available frames as a result of data gaps in both SOHO and STEREO A COR2. |

Measurement of the bulk using several more frames of SOHO LASCO C3 imagery than previously available. There is still only one STEREO A COR2 frame available for this CME, but the fit found using C3 frames the source location aligns well with this one STEREO A COR2 frame. |
